Treatment
- Warm compresses 4-5 times a day for 10-15 minutes, with massage over
the swelling.
- A combination of antibiotic-steroid ointment may be applied 3 times
over the swelling.
- Surgical incission and curratage is indicated when the swelling has
remained for more than 4 weeks and the patient wants it removed. Alterately
a local injection of steroids into the swelling sometimes reduces the
swelling.
