Sudden rash over the lids with or without eyelid swelling and watery discharge from the eyes. Sometimes vesicles and conjunctival redness and swelling.

What is it?

Cause by hypersensitivity to eye drops, cosmetics (including nail polish)

Treatment

Avoid offending agent(s) (usually cosmetics, cold creames, etc).
Cool compresses 4-6 times/day
Topical antihistamines/steroids may be indicated
Systeminc antiallergic agents
Mild steroid cream may be indicated over the affected area.
